	Travel will be covered for all current service members in the state where the event is taking place.
	FoodCorps Alumni can send a transportation funding request for up to $50 to Robyn (robyn.wardell@foodcorps.org) prior to the event with the following:
	
		​Location and date of Career Roadshow you wish to attend
		Where you’ll be traveling from
		1-3 sentences regarding your financial situation and how the $50 would be beneficial

10:00-10:15am Welcome & Introductions

10:15-11:15am Career Exploration and Reflection: We'll provide context for how to think about your career trajectory and review the results of your Strong Interest Inventory.

11:15-11:30 Break

11:30-12:15 Job seeking and how to get the job that you want: We'll review the primary ways you should go about finding a job in your field of interest.

12:15-12:45 Lunch will be provided

12:45-2:05 Resumes & Cover Letters: We'll provide an overview of do's and don'ts, help you articulate how your FoodCorps experience prepares you for positions and provide ample time for peer reviews.

2:05-2:15 Break

2:15-3:45 Effective Interviewing: This will be an interactive, skills-based session to help you articulate your skills and experiences in an interview setting.

3:45-3:55pm Break

3:55-4:45pm Building Networking Skills: We will have an opportunity for you to network with one another and share best practices around effective network-building. Then we’ll put it into practice with employers who are coming to meet and network with you.

OR

4:00-5:00pm Network with local employers: We have invited local employers who are interested in bringing FoodCorps alumni onto their team. They may currently be hiring or just looking to network with our awesome team and connect with future talent. Time to put some of your newfound networking skills to work!


4:45-5:00 Wrap up!

 

PARKING

The Playworks parking lot is located across the street from 638 3rd Street and to the right of Ace Hardware. You can park in the spots labelled "Reserved for Playworks"

Street Parking
There are 2-hour and 4-hour parking spaces surrounding the 3rd Street building. Please read street signs
carefully to avoid tickets!
